Engineering Apprenticeship
Ngineering Solutions Limited is looking to recruit another Apprentice for their workshop in Sheerness, Kent. The ideal candidate will have achieved their NVQ Level 2 in Engineering and are looking to achieve their NVQ Level 3 on day release at Mid-Kent College starting in September 2016 for 2 years.

Alternatively, a school leaver who is looking to get into Engineering. They can achieve their NVQ Level 2 at Mid-Kent College as above.

  • Candidates MUST be aged between 16-18 on 1st September, 2016.
  • Salary: £3.30 per hour based on 40 hours per week. 8:30am – 4:30pm
    Monday - Friday. (Day release for College. Starts September 2016.) 20
    days paid holiday, plus Bank holidays per annum.
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • Annual pay increases and other incentives will be available for the right
    candidate.

Everyone at NGSOL wants to wish all their clients and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please note our offices will be closed from Midday on Thursday 24th December, 2015 and will re-open 8am Monday 4th January, 2016.


November 15
Mark Tucker attended a one day ISO 9001:2008 to 2015 transition course on 20th November. This will ensure the smooth implementation of the new quality system. Mark said that we are aiming to implement the new system in August after our next surveillance visit in July 2016.


July 2015

NGSOL teams up with The Isle of Sheppey Academy and offers six work experience placements for their Year 10 students.

For two weeks in July six students joined NGSOL (Three one week and three the next.) Mark Tucker commented ‘All the students enjoyed their week and they all gained a valuable insight into the world of work! We will be offering the placements again next year!’

New Business Administration Apprentice.
Oliver Dewey joined the company and he will start his college course in September 2015. Mark Tucker commented ‘Oliver comes from a sales background and will be moulded into a valuable asset for the future of NGSOL!’

ISO9001:2008 Annual Audit passed with flying colours.NGSOL’s annual audit of their quality systems was again given a clean bill of health for another year. Mark Tucker commented ‘There were a few minor issues, mainly down to integrating our new computer software into the system. Overall we are very pleased with the way it went and we will continue to improve for next year!’


February 2015:

January 2015:
NGSOL would like to welcome their new Business Manager Andrew Crinean to the team! Mark Tucker says – ‘Andrew will be joining us in February and he will be heavily involved with the new implementation of NGSOL’s new business software system and its smooth integration into our ISO9001 system, which will go live in April. In addition Andrew will be an integral part of the company’s future expansion plans!’


December 2014:
NGSOL ready for ISO 9001:2008 transition to ISO 9001:2015. Mark Tucker attended a seminar at Keele University provided by Alcumus ISOQAR. Mark added the transition will happen around September 2015. We have our annual audit in July so we will start the transition when the final standard charter is approved and then phase in the transition ready for our July 2016 audit.
In addition as the ISO 14001 environmental standard is changing…

We will wait until the new standard arrives and then apply for ISO 14001 to add to NGSOL’s accreditations!


November 2014:
NGSOL’s Head of Procurement Mark Tucker vetted 16 UK suppliers in November and all have passed with flying colours. He added our UK Supply Chain is critical. Our UK suppliers still continue to play a vital role within our International sourcing network!


June 2014: NGSOL have appointed Kayleigh O’Neill as their new Business Admin/Accounts Apprentice.

Kayleigh joins us with an excellent Business acumen with a predicted A* grade for her A-Levels in Business Studies & IT. She will start an Accounting Apprenticeship in September at Mid-Kent College to strengthen her accounting knowledge.

NGSOL’s Mark Tucker says: Kayleigh is our second Apprentice to join the team after our Engineering Apprentice Sasha Davis who has nearly completed his first year. I believe the future of the company is in safe hands and it is a testament to young people that they want to work, learn a trade and develop their career within NGSOL.


February 2014: NGSOL have started the ball rolling towards gaining their ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) certificate.

‘We already have an excellent environmental record and system in place. Gaining ISO 14001 will integrate with our existing ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The certificate is recognised worldwide and will in turn endorse NGSOL’s commitment to our current and future client base and to ensure long term commercial success! Our aim is to have this in place by Jan 2015 to coincide with our next 3 year ISO 9001 re-certification audit…’ says Quality Manager – Mark Tucker

The ideal candidate will have achieved their NVQ Level 2 in Engineering and are looking to achieve their Level 3 on day release at College starting in September 2013 for 2 years. In addition to carrying out engineering and assembly works in our workshop the ideal candidate will be computer literate in all aspects of Microsoft Office. A ‘C’ grade in Maths & English would be an advantage to be able to assist in the office where applicable.

In addition, being able to read drawings, be methodical and have an eye for detail are all important qualities. Candidates MUST be aged between 16-18 on 1st September, 2013.

Salary: £2.65 per hour based on 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. (Day release for college.) 24 days paid holiday plus Bank holidays per annum. Permanent full-time position. Annual pay increases and other incentives will be available for the
right candidate.
